In some Japanese hot spring towns, you can cook eggs using the natural heat from the hot spring water.
Some hot springs contain sulfur, which can give the eggs a unique aroma. It might sound unusual, but many people love it!
I personally love hot spring eggs that have that sulfur smell. It always reminds me that I’m visiting a real hot spring town. 😊
Eating a freshly cooked egg while walking around a hot spring resort is one of my favorite little travel experiences in Japan.
Have you ever tried a hot spring egg? ♨️
